Why do you think a lesson in Arabic is called (Al-Darss) and a teacher in Arabic can be called a Muallim or Mudarriss, or a headmaster Mudeer. Madrassa, Mudarriss, and theres a MADRASSAH in Yemen, i wonder where they got that name from?? Arabic, i guess. So pick your facts up before you speak

And yes, protecters in Arabic is called (Hafidh) Hifdh-ul-Quran (Protectors of the Quran)??

But originally, the Memorizers of Quran were called Hamil (the ones who carried). Hafiz was originally used for Scholars who have memorized 100,000 hadith.
