in response to reader comment: Oprah Winfery is ruining this country!!!!

It is a sad day when a man has been classified as a "charity case" just because of his race. The entire world needed this change, and America as a whole. For the past 8 years the Country has lost sight of the promises and obligations it has to its people.

South Africa, amongst other countries is very proud of Obama's achievement, whether it have been assisted by Oprah Winfrey or not. The allegation that she has used her powers to persuade the peoples votes is a premature assumption that the people are ignorant to their needs.

Let's be frank and face reality, we are tired of fighting peoples personal battles. Let every utilise his resources to fight for his family's legacy. It was time to experience change and the people saw to that. Oprah reserves the right to freedom of speech, included in that is her right to express her feelings about the Presidential candidates and her hopes for her country.

This woman is an icon to all races, genders, sexes and cultures. Yes! Her opinion is considered by many as worthy, but still, are we not capable of interpreting our own lives needs. Has the world come to it's knees to the point that we need to consult about our personal needs. Does this decision not involve every single voter? Do they not also want a change for their lives, their kids lives and the hope for a better future? I , personaly, cannot comment about the Muslim card being thrown at us. What we see is a man who voices his intentions clearly enough to be heard by the people, who promises to improve our economy, education and future.

What we should be looking at is the steps that he will take in achieving that, not his cultural or religious background.
