You mean they can run around yelling and screaming during the sermon and not get their fannies tanned? Damned liberal, those Indonesian Muslims...Anyway, maybe it's to prevent this that "[w]hen Obama attended 4th grade in 1971, Muslim children ["Barry" was registered as a Muslim, btw] spent two hours a week studying Islam" (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/chi-070325obama-islam-story,0,7180545.story) and currently "'The Muslims learn about Islam, prayer and religious activity,' said Hardi Priyono, the vice principal for curriculum."(ibid) If you want to know what this looks like, there's a brief clip of Koran class in the ABC Nightline video posted at http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/story?id=2823943 (at about the "-01:50" mark) showing all of the kids lined up on their prayer mats bowing in the direction of Mecca. But I guess they are so much better behaved in elementary school then at the mosque...
