Reader comment on item: Confirmed: Barack Obama Practiced Islam
in response to reader comment: Who mistrusts Converts?

Stepping back and looking at the Big Picture here, I think that a valid case can be made for the concept that as soon as race enters into the political arena all minority candidates become fundamentally disqualified for the office they seek. Why? Because once race becomes an issue it then follows that within the parameters of a democracy and the democratic process of electing leaders only those representative of the majority race can be considered representative of the majority population.

Admittedly the deck is stacked against minority figures in this case, but would it be better to have a minority racist running the country? If Barack Obama is truly corrupted by his own racial prejudice would it not be disastrous to have him in the White House at odds with the majority population of the United States? Can you picture the Rev. Al Sharpton as Secretary of State? Admittedly this is all hypothetical but worthy of consideration nonetheless.
