Shafiq says

"I do not wish to enter into a battle of words with you my friend but will finally add that there is nothing wrong with Islam or its teachings. Certain people around the globe have misused Islam to further their personal evil goals."

What about the verses themselves, a literalist interpretation of them, preaching violence against infidels in millions of mosques around the world and still you say misunderstanding ? This is naive.
