The Quran is nothing like the Torah

Whate4ver states: the "Quran is based on the Jewish old testament."

That's wrong. There is no "old" or "new" testament in Judaism. There is the Torah, which are the five books of Moses. And the Quran is more like Halacha (Jewish Law), but with a very, very different twist. The values are not Jewish; they are very much a reflection of Muslim ideology. To equate the two is totally false. Excusing Islam by comparing it to the Torah is just plain wrong. It demonstrates an misunderstanding of Islam as much as it does Judaism.
