I think it matters.

Our criteria for establishing whether someone is/isn't a Christian are not the same criteria for establishing whether someone is a Muslim (or Jew for that matter). As such, being born to a Muslim father makes Barack a Muslim, whether we agree with the criterion or not.

If bothers me more that Barack lied about it and I think Daniel is right, these are important issues.

If Barack were to become President and also considered an apostate and head of the Great Satan, might it not be conceiveable that he would become an object of blackmail? We'll spare your life if you let this trojan horse into the country.
