I agree it should not matter. As a matter of fact, a practicing Muslim should be able to run for President. The reality is that a huge percentage of U.S. voters would automatically vote against a Muslim; I don't anticipate a change for the better any time soon.

But the point of my ...comment was that Mr. Pipes had clearly distorted Obama's Islamic "legacy" for political purposes. Fortunately, most mainstream Jewish leaders and organizations have disavowed attempts to undermine Obama. ...
