Litmus test

Reader comment on item: Confirmed: Barack Obama Practiced Islam
in response to reader comment: An easy TEST !!!

Yeah, maybe we should make him criticize Kanye West, so that we make sure he's not a gangster rapper. Maybe we should have him pollute to prove that he's not a treehugger. He should break a camera to show he's not a paparazzi. He should burn the theories of Darwin to ensure he's not an evolutionist. He should crash a Hummer just to prove that he wants better fuel economy.

All of those things are just as stupid as having Obama criticize Muslims? Who would that benefit? Barack Obama doesn't have to prove that he's not a Muslim. He doesn't have to do that. He doesn't have to prescribe to your litmus test. You are trying to disqualify him based on religion, just as he would have been disqualified based on his race 40 years ago. I personally believe that Obama is a Christian. This doesn't make me angry. i don't care if he is a Muslim, a Christian, a Jew, a Hindu, a Buddhist or a follower of the Illuminati.
