It is not 1969. It is 2008. Why does Rev. Wright, in 2008, point to James Cane, who spews HATE, as his mentor?

You want to talk about constraints?

Black men won the right to vote in the 15th Amendment to the United States Constitution in 1870. And all women won the right to vote in 1920.

A woman is raped every three minutes; a woman is beaten in her home every fifteen seconds; one of four women in emergency rooms is "battered."

The crime rate against women in the United States is significantly higher than in other countries -- the United States has a rape rate that is 13 times higher than England's, nearly 4 times higher than Germany's, and more than 20 times higher than Japan's. There were more women injured by rapists last year than marines wounded by the enemy in all of World War II.

And I'd never say God Damn America....

I am a direct descendant of one of seven brothers who all died in the civil war because they believed, as do I, that ALL people should be free. Our family is proud of their sacrifice. I've worked tirelessly to combat racism. And Rev. Wright and Trinity Church are based in racist sentiments.

From the Trinity United Christian Church site with "Black" comments turned WHITE,

We are a congregation which is Unashamedly WHITE and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the WHITE religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an ANGLO-SAXON people, and remain "true to our native land, ... It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a WHITE worship service and ministries which address the WHITE Community.
