in response to reader comment: Obama's apostasy WILL matter, and probably matters already.

I am amazed at how all America is so drowned in Political Correctness that they are unaware of the threat of Islam. Our enemies in Al Qaeda are really only one small party of the larger threat, something we have seen before. Islam in itself is far more totalitarian than anything we saw in the 20th century which started, btw, with the defeat of the muslim Ottoman Empire.

Our talking heads go on about "moderate Muslims" when in fact what they really mean are those invading Muslims who are not yet ready to go suicide bomb shopping malls. Anyone who reads the Koran and is even vaguely conscious of the life of Mahomet can readily see that the organizing principles of the Islamic way of life REQUIRE muslims to perform jihad anywhere possible and to slaughter infidels at any opportunity after they have refused an offer to convert to Islam.

I simply do not see any valid constitutional protection for Islam under the First Amendment unless we would also allow the native religions of the Aztecs and their ilk to return to human sacrifice like we saw in Gibson's "Apocalypto." One 18th Century English poet, Blake, noticed the "millions asleep in Allah" with some fear and even George Byron, while practicing his fervent Republican revolutionism (we forget now that not long ago a 'Repuplican' meant a progressive revolutionary) died in 1823 at the age of 36 on his way to fight Islam at Messolonghi in order to recover the nation of Greece.

Well, now, those millions awaken in Allah and burn for jihad. If Americans for whatever reason do not become alert to this unrelenting threat, the Republic cannot last. There is no wiggle room with these people: they are quite serious-- what do you, personally, plan to do when offered the choice? martyrdom or praying to Mecca?
