Why is he running

What I don't understand is why Obama has a chance to run. Even if he was born here he spent alot of his childhood in another country. I think that to considered for president of the United States. You have to have been born and raised here. I do not think it's fair someone can be raised else where but I am supposed to be open to them leading the country I live in. Don't get me wrong, our last few presidents haven't been that great of leaders or role models, but at least they were born and raised here.
