Obama, and the possible results of apostasy

Reader comment on item: Confirmed: Barack Obama Practiced Islam
in response to reader comment: Obama's apostasy WILL matter, and probably matters already.

With respect, I disagree with Doc's concerns over real or perceived pressure/coercion that Rep. Obama might suffer as a result of his possible Muslim background.

In these times I think that any president is a target for extremists that follow radical teachings and believe that earthly violence sanctioned or urged by such teachings would result in heavenly rewards. So I believe the possible coercion to do something wrong, or watch and do nothing, would be a consideration for any leader.

Of larger concern to me is Rep. Obama's already stated general philosophy about relationships and negotiations with other countries or groups. I think he would probably find many possible reasons to allow an opportunity to visit a weapon on Mr. Bin Laden long before he reached the concern for self and family.

Whatever your wished for traits in our next leader, each voter should remember that our nation and national government exist for the protection and interests of U.S. citizens. Wherever we can meet our purposes and those of the world at large is the best place to be, but isn't always reality.
