Reader comment on item: Confirmed: Barack Obama Practiced Islam

Submitted by Nadim (United States), Mar 2, 2008 at 01:25

They will find Roger Clemmons guilty of contempt for less premeditated inaccuracies to truth! You have a valid point. I am a 1/2 arab American Christian who has an Arabic middle name that is also used by moslems. I was born in America and my dad and all of his blood kin are Christians and staunch right-wingers.

The more I read these commentaries the better I feel about America!!! Being a first gen American, 1/2 breed arab who is a Christian, my people watched Islam destroy their country. Its still happening. My relative had to sell his 1/2 of a business to his moslem partner because the moslem majority patrons would not buy from the business because of my relative's religion. That is in a so called "moderate" place. The american corn-fed midwestern huckleberrys better watch their backs, this culture/religion survived the Khans (remember the Kwarazim empire from your history class-yeah lots of em died but look who changed who!), they are sophisticated and subtle (remember Eden?) despite their 8th century appearance. Mr. Obama has more polish than an Italian shoe store.

I would suggest that a more liberal moslem would interpret verses 3.80 to 3.89 of "the Family of Imran" of the Quaran as an invitation to repentance for those moslems who 1. confessed to beleive in modhamed's message and then 2. deny their belief and then 3. repent. I think this rule allows for someone to do this. Conclusion? Caveat Emptor my fellow Americans! Barack Obama is no John Kennedy.
