Proof? Treason? Hatred Isn't Illegal -- Is that your criteria for President or even a Security Clearance? Pretty low standards.

Hathor,

For someone who's had a security clearance, you seem awfully naive. You don't seem to like the idea of facts getting in the way of what you believe. Haven't you been reading about several cases, especially a recent one, wherein a woman with terrorist connections was employed by the CIA and given access to secret info regarding U.S. activities and plans in the Middle East? There is certainly much room for improvement of the FBI and CIA.

Regarding Obama's or Rev.Wright's Anti-Americanism. It isn't a question of "proof." Wright's speeches speak for themselves. We have free speech in this country, and people are allowed to express their hatred verbally. It isn't illegal to speak, as long as there is no incitement to violence.

But that's not the criteria for access to classified information or election to the office of President. There's no need to say more about it, it's obvious to anyone with any common sense.

Try thinking about it this way. The words of members of White Supremicist groups aren't illegal. They don't necessarily commit provable treason. Would you like a member of one of those groups to have access to classified information because those groups and what they say aren't illegal? Or one of them run for President just because he says he "really disagrees" with what he's been listening to for 20 years -- only because he happens to be a charasmatic speaker -- and chants bromides that people are desperate to believe in?

It's like a story from a bad sci-fi novel.
