Does any of this really matter?

First of all, freedom of religion is a constitutionally guaranteed in the First Amendment. That said, I find it pretty absurd to analyze Mr. Obama's religious affiliation at an age where he had little or no say in that decision.

Here's something to consider: When I was 8 years old we held a mock election in our grammar school. Following my parents views at the time, I was a staunch supporter of Richard Nixon. By the time I could vote in the 1980 election I cast a ballot for John Anderson and have voted independent or Democrat since. So, does this mean that If I ever decided to hold office someone would dig up my past conservative leanings in the 3rd grade?!
