Jon, whether the article assumes too much or not does not matter to the Islamic world.

What matters is that Obama once called himself Muslim. Even if it was just on a registration form, Obama was a Muslim in their eyes and therefore should be executed in accordance with Sharia Law.

The same is true of the British reporters who were captured a couple years ago and forced to "convert" to Islam, but later rejected what they said when out of captivity. Unlike Christianity where they teach that a person's Christianity is based on believing in certain principles and historic events in their heart, Islam says that saying you are Islamic means you are Islamic.
