Attaining peace in the Middle East

Reader comment on item: Confirmed: Barack Obama Practiced Islam
in response to reader comment: Muslim Background could be an asset to attaining peace in the Middle East

Submitted by Anne (United States), Jul 5, 2008 at 23:58

I wonder how many people realize Barack Obama once was a muslim, he is now what Islamic law calls a murtadd (apostate), an ex muslim converted to another religion who must be executed. Were he elected president of the United States, this status, clearly, would have a large potential implications for his relationship with the Muslim world.

From his book Audacity of Hope p 261 Referring to the Muslims he said,....In the wake of 911,...in my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans (Muslims), and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction" (referring to how the Japanese were interred in WW II. Does anyone want to take a chance like this? Very Dangerous.
