It is obvious that you have done absolutely no homework on this subject.. I will not get into it here (partly because it ISN"T EVEN THE SUBJECT of this thread), but I will say that you are so far beyond wrong, that they have to pump in air to breath!. The framers were in fact Christian almost to a man. Very Christian in fact.

Separation of church & state is a figment of anti-christian thinking and an overtly anti-church 1962 Supreme court. (all were very liberal & one was co-founder of the ACLU which we all know was founded by a card carrying communist) (prior to 1962 there were at least 150 years of adamantly Christian based law in this country. Separation of church & state does not appear in the Constitution in actual word or intent. The ONLY thing the framers were trying to prevent was a state religion (ala church of England) Christian is NOT a religion. Presbyterian is, Luthern is, Catholic is, Methodist is, Baptist is. Christian is NOT.

Read Jefferson's complete letters of the time. Read any of their letters. They're available! Read the Constitution again (or for the first time if you haven't read it before). I apologize for my being terse, but I don't tolerate well statements such as yours made to sound like the truth when they they are anything but! People read this stuff and some go away believing what are at best mistatements and at worst- lies. In any event with a small amount of scrutiny they are shown to be wrong!

With regard to the actual subject of the thread....If Obama is considered "murtadd" (apostate) by muslims, he cannot command respect from them and in fact it would seem that he would actually be an affront to any and all serious practicing muslims. That would pose some major issues for American foreign policy IMHO.
