Was Obama a Muslim

Reader comment on item: Confirmed: Barack Obama Practiced Islam

Submitted by Berjees Taaj (United States), Jan 7, 2008 at 15:57

This article has tried to stress several times that Obama and his father were not practicing muslims.| There are millions and millions of muslims who are not practicing muslims. Muslims dont believe or emphasize that you must go to mosque or pray five times a day to be
a Muslim. If you confess with your mouth and live like a Muslim then you are a Muslim.

In most Muslim countries of the world, most Muslims do not practice (whatever it means) their religion., but they would be very vocal in
telling you that they are Muslim. Islam is not a spirtual religion. Its physical , political and practical religion. Its more for the works and the deeds and not what your real intention is. In the West they need to undersatand that pratice or not a muslim is a muslim.Their loyalty, sympathies, allegiance and love is for the Umma.

Forget abuout practicing Muslim and non practicing Muslim, when it comes to Islam are muslims are the same. Quran teaches Muslim that all muslims are brothers, it does not say only the practicing ones are.

Remember, in the name of Islam the Muslim become one and in the west in the name of religion they all fall apart.
