Media Matters stupidity

Reader comment on item: Confirmed: Barack Obama Practiced Islam

Submitted by Ian (United States), Jan 7, 2008 at 16:38

As usual, Media Matters has failed to prove anything and just splashed the headline they already predetermined and filled in dubious quotes to confirm there headline to readers that already think was a hit job on Obama (even though it wasn't).

Good job in proving your point and rebutting their argument.

Years ago you wrote a book on Conspiracy theories and how they abound in the middle east. Could you write an article that is an updated look on conspiracy theories since 9/11 and how the middle east continues to be most susceptible to believing them?

It was a very good book, but seems dated now.

Thanks, Ian

Daniel Pipes replies:

Thank you, but no, that book is my last on conspiracy theories (though I do, frustratingly, have lots of unpublished materials on this subject).

To cover the past decade would mean basically just extended the same points by a few years.
