Marco, believe me I understand your question to me. I have been very active in the pro-life movement, during the years in between overseas assignments. I have protested, counseled, prayed for, marched...even been arrested during the excited Operation Rescue years....twice!!

I am as born again as they come. I am also as pro-life as they come. My credentials for both are good, believe me.

But somethings you may need to consider. Voting Republican does NOT make me a Christian. In fact, many time I have voted for pro-life democrats instead of the pro=choice counterparts. ( IE in PA, my home state, the late Gov. Bob Casey was a vigorously pro-life democrat...while his opponent, I think the guy who eventually headed Homeland security for Bush, was a pro-choice republican)

I am beginning to feel as if the Republicans have used the carrot of a pro life stance to string many of us along. I will never forget the disgust I felt upon voting for Bob Dole, a card carrying Mason, simply because he was NOT Bill Clinton.

All I am saying is that this year we have MANY choices, on both sides. And I am telling you, Marco, I am sick to death of American Christians who sit safely in their padded pews and air conditioned churches, and begin a whispering campaign about Christian brother in the Lord, namely Barak Obama, who openly professes faith in Christ. saying, 'you know, he really is a muslim?' and " he attended a muslim school" and 'with a name like that he HAS to be a muslim/" I know many fine devout Christians who began this life in another faith, Hindu, Buddhist, and yes, Muslim. Are you questioning that these people can truly come to faith in Christ? Or does that blessing only come with citizenship in the United States of America??

Listen well, Marco. Don't let any man tell you what another man believes. Ask that man for yourself. Then judge his words, as well as the fruit of his life.

Yes, I may just go on to be a pro-life democrat. I am beginning to write to the Obama Campaign with my specific concerns regarding the pro life issue. Who knows. Maybe I will be an agent of change, too.

And yes, Marco. I have been a missionary for 25 years.
