Elimination of Buddhism in India

Reader comment on item: Confirmed: Barack Obama Practiced Islam
in response to reader comment: Factual Error re Buddhist elimination from India

Submitted by Thiagan (India), Nov 7, 2008 at 05:42

Hi, I have quoted from Dr.B.R.Ambhedkar, who again quotes from Vincent Smith, the celebrated author of Indian history. Where is your reference for the claim the Hinduism destroyed Buddhism in India? You are simply talking through the hat. Ambedhkar did not want to convert to either Christianity or Islam, sincxe he was aware both the religions had a violent past; Islam is continuing the tradition.
