in response to reader comment: The Muslim problem

My friend,

I follow your debate --such polemic on issues which are downgrading us. I can't well identify you, brother by your faith. However, I have one point to adduce : remember if your are a christian, we are all descended from one common root --one common source of the same father from his semens, father Abraham. we are proud of it with close genetic traits and if our DNA be tested for evidence, we are for certain we emanate from the same source.

We must not make religion an issue by insulting values when we are related genetically. Chritianity is a great religion and we have to respect it for our root source is from the same stream. How it might pain our great grand father if he must be viewing how we are debating virulenlty with assaults on our prophets on our brothers and sisters and in its wake follows venom and bloodshed because our assertion can be provocative to our entourage. They might take insults at it with more bitterness and the rivers of hatred and tribulation will never end at any conjuncture. we are embittering the situation more violently with swords of words that would never culminate into a solution and would perpetuate with more antagonism on both sides.

However, with the enlightment in this world of freedom, with our common values we share --Jesus is much respected by our world and is ennobled by our glorious Quran and so is Mary the mother of Jesus on whom a verse is dedicated holistically as the best most priviledged mother on earth-- such glorification is never portrayed even in the holy bible. She got all the glitters of perfection as read in the Quran and even the mother of Muhammad is not glorified even once. Mary is very much dignified in the holy Quran with a verse which raises her above any other mother that has ever tasted this planet. Even a reader of the Quran for the first time would hardly identify the mother of Muhamad.

However, as antagonists and protagonists argue on the authenticity of the book. If our book could have been treatised by some unknown faith more bent on christianity, I would argue that we would not have diverged from your lane of ideology with one common Abraham from the crest and we diverge at the root bottom on many issues of values as you have pointed out. If the Holy Quran is a carbon copy of your bible, then we would have been under the roof. However, my dear brother, we must not make such issue a bone of contention with insults which we read everyday on the internet, gassing our prophets who are innocents who sacrificed a lot for us as we were by the same father but by diffferent lines.

We respect Jesus for his prophethood. I keep a bible which I read and you may query me on any part of the bible, i would challenge you with the words of Jesus. I read St Luke, St Mark and St Matthiew and act of Apostles, but I am a muslim. When I follow the debate, your spicy insinuations and strong aversion for the religion of islam, I wonder how your bible has such a prestigious place in my house and how you are casting aspersion on my prophet.

Please brother, sorry if my words have touched your heart in that corner. I know you would reply back.

Thanks
