Reader comment on item: [The American Muslim Council:] 'Mainstream' Muslims?
in response to reader comment: Is Jesus God or Allah God??

Submitted by Boh (Malaysia), Aug 26, 2012 at 21:10

Jesus is the Word of God who became flesh and lived as man. Of course God is not a man and a man cannot become God. But God has his will and is all powerful to do whatever he wants. God had appeared before Abraham and Jacob as man. Through David and Isaiah God had revealed his plan to reappear as man, Immanuel, God with us. That plan was fulfilled in the man Jesus. Jesus is the Word of God. He was the Word of God and with God from the beginning. The Word of God is God. By being the Word of God, Jesus is also called the Son of God (not that God getting married and produced a son through relationship with a woman) or simply. When Jesus was on earth he was fully man, that was why he got hungry, feel pain and even died. At the same time he was fully God - lived without sin, performed miracle and conquered death.
