Reader comment on item: [The American Muslim Council:] 'Mainstream' Muslims?

I am from UK and i can tell you for A FACT that every muslim i knew was rejoicing about 9/11.The problem is that they say most muslims arent extreme but just look in the street with their women wearing hijabs and men in traditional dress and reciting the koran. What about double standards too. They can build a mosque here and pray but go to Saudi Arabia and see if you can practice christianity or any other religion. Instead you'll get hauled into prison and lashed. How come they live in the west but always criticise it.?
They always like to drive cars and have flash mobile phones and gadgets. But the koran says that technology and science is unislamic. In fact we cannot blame the taleban. They interpreted the Koran as it was and sharia law resulted. In my opinion the US are doing the right thing and getting control of the middle east. ... Israel is alright since they could take every Islamic country on their own.You cannot blame the jews since they gave the palestinians a good deal but they threw it away. Thus Sharon and hard policies ensued. Look at the world today. Every single war/conflict is to do with a muslim,e.g kashmir, chechnya, phillipines the list goes on and on.

I just wish back in Britain the govt was more strict like the US doing profiles of muslims etc.In fact i believe they are giving asians of other religions a bad name too. Back here i support the Bush administration with great passion as do i support Sharon and the likud party with donations. These people are safeguarding the future of the civilised western world and our childrens future.God Bless America,Israel and Great Britain. We shall never surrender(Winston Churchill)
