Unfortunately the character of a society or social group is not projected by the 'moderate' but by the vocal 'minority'. Not all Germans were Nazi during the timeof Hitler. But they proved ineffectual. Right now the difference between 'minority' and 'majority' (normal muslims) has increased tremendously.

another reason why ppl 'fear' is because of territorial ambitions of Islam in the past and its 'political' nature in the present, and its tendency to 'impose' itself. there are so many 'Islamic' nations today. no other religion tries to 'politicise' and project itself. am sure you'll point out Israel. But a single Israel (where Muslim Arabs live and are part of their Knesset) is not the same as a Saudi where no religion can exist or a place like Iran where non-muslims can just 'live' or Pakistan or Bangladesh where Hindus have been/being wiped out.

yet another reason is that muslims living as minority in other countries again tend to look for a separate 'religious' identity and rights and put Islam above anything else. like asking for 'Sharia' law or for special favors like Muslim Only at Six Flags. It is impossible to ignore this because exact opposite treatment is given to non-muslims in muslim nations. American Muslims cannot be held responsible that no other religion can be practised in Saudi? well u identify urself as a muslim. then you have responsibility towards the actions of the so called 'muslim' world. if you want special favors for being a muslim then you oughta be blamed for your muslim world, just like ordinary professionals in the WTC were blamed for being Americans.

all muslims ar enot terrorists. neither are all terrorists muslims. but only muslim terrorists act in the name of their religion. the onus lies on muslims. not non-muslims. asking for death of Pope because he 'quoted' someone is like demanding someone's death because he 'quoted' Hitler.

why is it that muslims simply cannot take any criticism? like it or not. Muslim behavior worldwide is slowly making ppl note it and increasing their own religious consciousness. they are all in initial stages. but end result could be really violent.

I dont really need any rebuttal from you which I should expect would talk about how muslims are killed in Chechenya, or Thailand or Kashmir.

I am just giving u a picture of what non-muslims feel. if you think they r wrong. then you may take that 1.5billion muslims think that rest of the 4 billion are wrong. clearly confrontation on the way.

Bin Laden is living in a muslim nation (Pakistan or Afghanistan). So should I assume that not one moderate muslim exists in that region, who is willing to tell his wherebouts? reason to bomb these 2 countries to death?
