Give Mainstream Members a Chance to Hear Mueller

Reader comment on item: [The American Muslim Council:] 'Mainstream' Muslims?

Submitted by M. K. Jasser (United States), Jun 18, 2002 at 18:21

I agree with every comment you made about AMC, CAIR, and other organizations. What I strongly disagree with is to consider a speech given in a convention of an organization to be an endorsement of that organization. Even if the organization, as you stated, is not mainstream in its policies, it does have members who are mainstream, and the Director of the FBI is not wrong in giving those members an opportunity to hear different opinions and attitudes. This is actually an opportunity, and why should he miss it?
