Reader comment on item: [The American Muslim Council:] 'Mainstream' Muslims?

Submitted by darrel (United Kingdom), Nov 4, 2005 at 17:37

speaking as a child of this generation, i am filled with confusion and anger. confusion because why is this happening.and anger because it ishappeneing. take a second to imagine a child who had recently lost his father, mother, brother or sister in a bombing, imagine how difficult his life would be. And muslims laugh, 'mission complete' to them. innocent people have to suffer, for no reason, or maybe that reason is this 'allah', the false god.

imagine if someone strapped about 50kg of semtex or C4 to themselves and strolled into a mosque and destroyed the place. imagine how distraught muslims would feel. its a mirrored effect, the prosepect of losing a family figure is an unbearable one, im sure if you asked any extreme, or just normal mosque-goer, they would hate to lose one of their parents because of no reason, but wouldnt mind a christian, or a jew, or a catholic dying. for their...koran depicts "catholics as ape'ish vineswingers, and we must rally and defeat the enemy. all land which you seek to battle for in the name of allah is promised yours by the mighty one" There we have it.

Or maybe people are brainwashed thinking they have to do it as others have said westerners are desecrating our religion. if you don't blow your self up you are denying paradise and allah. if you do, you shall be in his paradise with 72 virgins.?! a disgusting prospect if you ask me, and i would NOT follow... ! That was a piece of my mind. MY ARGUMENT IS BASED UPON FREEDOM OF SPEECH...
