in response to reader comment: to ak on 'moderate'

I have taken a vow not to respond to any comments posted on Daniel pipes, but i suppose that your comment isn't outrageous so I will answer. You say that Islamic states are terriorial, I will not mention Islamic states that are invaded for your convenience, well I'll tell you the cause of this trait.

If you go back in history, the middle east was part of one big empire called the ottoman empire. In world war two, a certain muslim made a deal with france and england to aid them in their fight against the ottoman empire. The man's gain in this deal would be his kingship. So the british and the french signed this agreement secretly. After the turks were defeated, britain and france did not honor their agreement and decided to split the middle east in to several different countries and claimed a chuck of these countries.

THAT is the root of all the problems of the midddle east. THAT'S why you have a lot of angry unfeeling muslims. The division of the ottoman empire resulted into the formation of israel which is the cause of more than half of terrorist attacks. As for saying that muslim terorists are the only terrorists who terrorize because of their religion, how about people who blow up abortion centers in the name of jesus? That sure does sound a lot like terrorizing in the name of religion.

As for your comment on muslims divulging the whereabouts of Osama bin laden, do you really think that osama bin laden will walk around the streets in public? Do you really sincerely believe that there are people out there who KNOW where osama is? I mean the CIA doesn't even know where he is.
