Problem with Islam

Reader comment on item: [The American Muslim Council:] 'Mainstream' Muslims?

Submitted by Vikram (United Kingdom), Nov 21, 2003 at 18:25

Hi,

I am a British born Indian who happens also to be a Christian. Firstly I love being British and also Indian, but most of all a Christian. I respect the culture we live in and wouldn't like to live anywhere else. I also think the British people are amongst the most tolerant people in the world and Islamic extremists are taking advantage of that.

The problem with Islam lies deep within their holy book. They fail to open their eyes and realise. The reason mainstream muslims are mainstream is simply because they do not follow their holy book. The day they pick it up and implement what is written in it a new nature and hatred flourishes. The Christian and the Jew according to surah 5:51 is not to be befriended. That is the pulp of the problem. Its them against us.

My message to mainstream muslims and extremist muslims is to open your eyes to the truth. God cannot except sin. Jesus according to your book is just a prophet, however He commanded to love those who persecute you. That is what God is about. My muslim friends, its never to late to ask God for forgiveness.

Make the change and use common sense. Hatred, murder and hypocrisy takes one further away from God, not closer. The Qu'ran cannot be the revelation of God if it does not stand for what God requires.

My prayers are for Islam to discover this.
