Spanky, have you ever read a peer reviewed book?

So the apostles WITNESSED Jesus ascending into heaven did they? Last time I checked the Apostles also disagreed as to under who's rule (and therefore time) Jesus was crucified... but how could that be if they were all there? They also seem to disagree as to Jesus's lineage, you'll remember that the immaculate Son must be descended from King David's lineage... Matthew seems to think Joseph's father was Jacob, but Luke argues it was Heli... but this should really be irrelevant if Joseph never FATHERED Jesus right? Matthew, Mark, Luke and John all give different inscriptions on the cross... but they were all there reading it correct? It seems strange they all have such different accounts of the event. But that's okay, you've covered your trail by inventing a very useful branch of Christianity called the Apologists.

Most Historians agree that Jesus (if we must give him a date of death) died around 33A.D and that the earliest Gospels were written around 70A.D which makes it highly unlikely they were there. The Bible is riddled with contradictions and impossibilities (often countered with "Our Lord works in mysterious ways".... indeed) and for that purpose you can't throw it in people's faces and claim "there's your proof."

And as for your false claims that the Koran plagarized the Christian and Jewish Bibles, you should really do your reading, not googling. Christinaity was born out of a Hellenized Pagan and Gnostic tradition. The same people you then turned around and burned, might I add. If you want to argue with scripture, you should read the Nag Hammadi Library, gospels that the Roman Catholic Church couldn't get their hands on to burn, mistranslate or conveniently leave out sections that didn't fit their religion. If you're going to embrace a religion, do your homework, you've chosen one with a very colourful history... and it doesn't leave you much room for judgement of others.

Your method of arguing seems very similar to what my 6 year old neice does when she doesn't like something she's hearing... she puts her fingers in her ears and repeats "La la la la la la la." Leave your fire and brimstone for the people who actually are ludicrous enough to believe that your Almighty and loving God throws people into a fiery pit of damnation and revels in having his children cower before him... namely, other Christians. I think it's time you saw the light,

Samantha
