Reader comment on item: [The American Muslim Council:] 'Mainstream' Muslims?

Submitted by qamer ayub (United Kingdom), Feb 28, 2005 at 14:14

I think most of these opinions are way too extreme and one sided. I am a British Muslim and proud to be one. A war is usually caused because one person thinks he knows how another person should live and try's forcing his opinion. No religion tolerates unjustified killing or radical regimes, its few twisted people who spoil it for everyone else. The truth is our leaders have failed us into believing this fairy tail about democracy and it doesn't work because the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Just look at any country in the world and its Alcohol, aids, drug abuse, rape, paedophilia and murder statistics and tell me if this is the way the world should be run. Power to the people lets make thing right!
