Opinion noted...and disregarded

Reader comment on item: [The American Muslim Council:] 'Mainstream' Muslims?
in response to reader comment: Misguided

Submitted by Weston (United States), Feb 10, 2007 at 23:30

I appreciate your input on the matter of the American Natives, I'm sure they are happy to have someone like you to help them in their plight. Yet you merely regurgitated a common complaint about Americans. Your originality is overwhelming.

I enjoy and take great pride in the fact that you ignored the rest of my post. Is this because you can offer no viable argument against my statements of the islamic hypocrisy? Is it because all of you islamic fundamentalists need the West in order to give creedence to your extreme views? Are you afraid of the west and it's compelling views? Do you feel threatened by the fact that we allow our women to vote, own businesses, join the military, and otherwise operate with a free will? I'm sure a woman with strength, intellect, goals, and prominence frighten the likes of your ilk.

I suggest you think long and hard about embracing the western ideals of freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom from tyranny, and most of all freedom of choice. Perhaps you'll find it to your liking, if not, then you should return to the sand crusted rock you crawled out of. The world doesn't need you. It doesn't need religious fanatics who kill others for holding a belief that goes against what your imams preach. It doesn't need delusional fools killing themselves and others for virgins in the afterlife.

So once again I issue a challenge to all Islamists and their symphathizers: If Western Civilization is wrong, then abandon ALL western inovations. Afterall, if westerners are so evil, then surely what we have fashioned is just as vile. But that would require an abandonment of the rampant hypocrisy in the muslim dogma.
