Islam - Westen Politics - Achilles Heel

Reader comment on item: [The American Muslim Council:] 'Mainstream' Muslims?

French officials and Muslim leaders reach a deal intended to formalise relations between the government and France's FIVE MILLION Muslims. FIVE MILLION is a number politicians must bow to in a democratic society. The government of France wants to encourage a home-grown, liberal version of Islam. Britian is doing the same. The remainder of Europe is well on it's way. How unfortunate that so many in the West believe Islam is at its core benign. "Liberal" Islam is an oxymoron. "Islam means Peace" is also an oxymoron.

Muslim's have found our achilles heel.....our democratic political system....and it will be exploited and used against us. That's at least one reason why the US consider's so-called "Islamic radicals" haters of the "free world". The US is right....if we change the political system to exclude Islam then we will no longer be free. But what's the alternative?

At one time "religious tolerance" was a way of keeping peace among Christian sects. We have extended this to Islam. This is extended to Jews too....but they don't kill us. We continue to foolishly believe that all every human being really desires is material properity...then they'll be happy. At the core of Islam is the desire to dislodge the infidel and create an Islamic society. "Peace" for the Muslim and death to all who get in their way.
