Reader comment on item: [The American Muslim Council:] 'Mainstream' Muslims?
in response to reader comment: Christians don't hate Muslims, Muslims hate Christians

It is not true that Islam preaches a message of hate and violence. There are people out there who are extremists and they twist the words of a religion and use it to promote their own agenda. The same can be said about Christianity. The Catholic Church is responsible for countless deaths of innocent people as a result of the Inquisition. In America the bible was used to justify the murder of native americans and slavery. So it is wrong to fault an entire religion based on the actions of a few lunatics. In fact don't be so sure about Christianity being the greatest religion because in fact Jesus Christ was not a real person but a myth created in the first century which later became the religion of Christianity. Jesus is not historical at all, that is why he is not spoken of in any other literature besides the Bible. Just for the record look up the similarities between Horus, Krishna and Jesus, trust me you will be amazed.
