Hello Dhimmi,

The verse you quoted is the elaboration of DIVINE LAW for those who opposes GOD's APOSTLE (Allah's Rasool)

It is law of Allah, that He destroys all those nations which opposes Rasool.

For example, God destroyed all those who opposed Noah a Rasool with a huge flood.

In the same way, God destroyed all those who opposed Muhammad a Rasool with the hands of believers.

The recompense of those who wage war against God and His Messenger, and run about in the land causing disorder, is only this __ that they should be slaughtered or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off on opposite sides, or they should be banished from the land. That is a disgrace for them in this world; and they shall receive a big punishment in the Hereafter, (5-33)

Except those who repent before you overpower them; and know that God is Forgiving, Merciful.(5-34)

The verse (5-33) prescribes a punishment for those who fight against Rasool. This punishment is over now because you cannot reach Allah and his Rasool and then fight against them.

However this punishment still can be given to a person who create disorder in land, for example, if he becomes a terrorist, or become rapist, or dacoit etc, he will be given this punishment

Thank you
