Moslems may constitute only 15% of the Indian population. In Denmark and France moslems were much less in terms of the actual percentage or numbers. But that did not stop them from rioting or vandalising for days, something that they would not dare to do in their own countries.

The president of India is a moslem, there have been Ministers, Chief Justices, Chief Ministers, generals, senior civil services officials amongst moslem, moslems are not discriminated against for jobs. All centres of higher learning have common entrance tests (notwitstanding reservations, simmilar to affirmative action in the US) Also moslem minority institutions have half the number of seats to academic courses for moslems (as with any other minority institution in india) for moslems. This is a provision given by the law of the land. If you look at Indian army units like the artillery three out of five gunmen are moslems.

Moslems are under represented because the community as such does not focus on education. This is true for moslems world wide. They may get basic education in madrassas, but for higher studies they must be prepared to work hard and compete. You dont seem to know much about India. Even countries like Syria which has a sizable christian population has laws banning non moslems from becoming a president. Why should moslem expect SPECIAL treatment when the situation is reversed ?

Sanharsh and Milind,

Hindu rightwing BJP did not have the guts to implemeint the common civil code restricting moslems to have only one wife (at one time) After all politicians are here only to make money. Moslem boys raping hindu girls and blackmailing them afterwards is utter crap. This does happen in countries like Egypt, not India.

Also Assam and Bengal are not moslem majority states. Akshardham happened and that was bad. What about the genocide at Godhra. Gujarati moslems are by and large peaceful and are traders by profession, especially the bohras who bore the brunt of the attack. How brutally were moslems raped and murdered. Children forced to drink gasolene and burnt alive. All this backed by the hindu rightwing BJP headed by Narendra Modi. POTA ? Can you entrust the Indian cops with sweeping powers ? Time and again they have been used by politicians and the mighty for their own selfish interests. Even cops get bitten by the communal bug.

What happened to Kauserbi? Why did she disappear ? Milind you are trying is to replace moslem fanatics by hindu fanatics. End result will be the same. Graham Staines and his kids were burnt alive in India by hindu right wingers , his only fault was that he showed the tribals a film of Jesus. What about shiv sena and bajrang dal who go about beating couples who celebrate valentines day and vandalising cyber cafes? They are simply mollas in saffron.

Don't get carried away by such posts. There is always both sides to the coin. I am not a mollah kisser , you can make that out by my other posts on this forum. There is a very dirty side to rightwing hindu fanaticism that you don't know notwithstanding the fact that hindus are one of the most tolerant and warm communities that I have ever come across in my life.
