Female circumcision may be a pre-Islamic African culture; but, it has become an Islamic African tradition. If Islam does not support this custom, then why does it still thrive among African Muslims?

Furthermore: Re your statement that Islam does not condone excesses--Does this mean that you do not find four wives to be excessive? Are the Koranic death verses not excessive? From what I have been reading of your rhetoric; I would translate your "Cherry Picked" Koranic verses to mean that Islam has no "minor vices" .
