Reader comment on item: Bolstering Moderate Muslims
in response to reader comment: The utter irrelevance of the recent protests and why they are misleading

Submitted by Roosevelt's Disciple (United States), May 6, 2007 at 14:46

Whatever the motives of the protesters, they are not going to impact radical Islam. If their protests start to make a substantial impact on the ability of the extremists to function, then the ringleaders will be killed.

Make no mistake about that.

It is immoral for non-muslims to request that muslims rebel against their fellow muslims, we all know they will most likely be killed if they do as we ask.

When we ask muslims to rebel we ask them to risk probable death. Does that sound moral to you?

Muslims will never defeat so-called radical islam because the moment they start to be effective they will be radicalized by the violence that will be inflicted upon them. We only need to look at the religious war taking place between two groups of muslims in Iraq right now.

p.s. As part of our campaign against islam, i urge everyone to use lower case 'i' and lower case 'm' when writing the words 'islam' and 'muslim' unless those words begin a sentence. We must diminish islam at every opportunity and in every way possible however small. Let us wage and win the ideological war now, so muslims and non-muslims do not have to fight real wars in the future.
