If we act to level the playing field by promoting the growth of "moderate" (and we'll leave the definition of that for another time) moslem networks, we automatically undermine he legitimacy of any such organizations among the not yet modern/secular/western masses we are hoping they will attract and eventually represent.

S.R. Hirsch used the term of a different culture, but the lack of "Arab street cred" to any development that isn't "sich selbst begreifendes" Islam, Islam that isn't organically (internally) developed, cuts this proposal off at the acetabulum.

More succinctly, it is inherently boned.
