Reader comment on item: Does Turkey Still Belong in NATO?

Submitted by Chet Limbright (United States), Apr 7, 2009 at 19:59

Where have we heard this story before? was it after the Turks committed the genocide (race extermination) of 1915-23, killing over 1.8 million unarmed Christian Armenians. In true Islamic fashion Muslims raped their women and stole their homes and property? Many Turkish families today are living on property that they stole from Christian Armenians. These Turkish Muslim Thieves, Murderers, and Rapists were just out performing acts of liberation for their God Allah and his noblest model for human behavior Prophet Mohammed 'peace be upon him. 'Their refusal to admit their guilt shows you the true nature of Islam. Our NATO ally and supposed friend Turkey to this day refuses to acknowledge its well documented culpability in this historical genocide.

The Armenian genocide went unpunished or challenged, and served as the blueprint and inspiration for Hitler's Jewish holocaust that was actively supported by Muslims, and involved many in the Muslim community.

Our government for political reasons is too cowardly to hold the Turks feet to the fire on this Issue. We should want to use reality when talking to a Muslim. All through Obama's political campaign our new Neo-Marist President Barack Obama said, "America deserves a leader who speaks truthfully about the Armenian genocide". In his address to the Turkish Parliament he emphasized our partnership with the Muslim world, cont' Turkey is a critical ally. Note he had no problem with referring to Americans as arrogant all this while sidestepping the Armenian holocaust issue.

President Obama conveniently forgets how the Turks have already shown their worthiness by not allowing the American military to open a northern front on Turkey's border in our war with Iraq that caused a logistical nightmare, and many American military lives, all while Turkey was and still is a huge benefactor from U.S. Military aid. The duplicity of the Turks meeting their treaty obligations under NATO shows their true nature. America must need allies that turn their back and give you the finger when you need help.

The chairman of the Turkish Parliament's Human Rights Commission, accused the U.S. of genocide in Iraq, and a prosecutor in Ankara has opened an investigation to determine whether Israel's recent military offensive in the Gaza Strip constitutes genocide, torture and crimes against humanity.

Note that President Obama, Chicago's eminent community organizer while campaigning thought it was inappropriate to refer to his middle name Hussein. Now he wears his Islamic heritage as a badge of courage, he said, "The Muslim faith has done so much to shape the world including my own country". He definitely does not see America as Judeo Christian society; apparently he feels we are Judeo, Christian, and Muslim Society.

How does he explain the passages in the Koran that states anyone who believes that Jesus Christ is the son of God is a liar, and of course all Jew's are all pigs? In fact everything wrong in this world is because of America's prosperity, which was gained only through oppressing the minorities of the world, and any other problems can be contributed to giant Jewish conspiracy.

Obama said we would support Turkey in suppressing their twenty percent minority Kurdish population in their quest for an autonomous state. When the liberal Democratic Society Party (DTP) represented in the Turkish parliament called for giving Kurdish-populated regions more autonomy as a way to end the conflict. Following that statement, DTP leaders were charged with "supporting a terrorist organization" and imprisoned. Apparently anyone looking for freedom from oppression is now considered a Terrorist.

Under these standards everyone involved in the American Revolution would have been classified as a terrorist. For political expedience Obama has chosen to ignore the fact that the 30 million Kurds have been oppressed and denied their cultural heritage

Where is the Arab Muslim and Muslim support on ending the Genocide going on in the Sudan an entirely Islamic created carnage and genocide? That has caused the deaths of over two million black Christians and Muslim blacks. Obama will continue to sidestep this issue because he would not want to make his Muslim brothers responsible for it. Obama knew if he took the moral issue of the Armenian genocide up while speaking before Turkish parliament he would be leaving the door open for castigation of Islam's role in the genocide going on in the Sudan.
