".....islamophobic - Isn't it a good thing? " The better word to use is 'Islamorealistic'. Phobia denotes fear - most of the people who are accused (usually by Muslims) of 'Islamophobia do not fear Islam. They see it effects on cultures and individuals and make a realistic appraisal and evaluation of its worth in their own cultures. No fear involved. ".......If you have phobia of cancer, you will try to prevent it from happening to you. " And if you don't have an actual phobia of cancer (or any other ailment for that matter) - you will still try to prevent it happening to you. "........

There is nothing wrong with "islamophobia" Yes there is - because it is a misnomer. It insinuates fear exists when it does not. "....but "anti-muslim" is bad, because though they are misguided and ignorant, still they are human " There are humans and there are humans. Hitler, Stalin, Jim Jones , David Koresh, David Applewhite etc. etc. were human too. All had their own beliefs which ultimately led to the demise and suffering of tens to millions of other human beings. What are you trying to say ? That they are inherently good and therefore we should tolerate any all of their behaviours - even to our own detriment? Sorry, I certainly don't buy into that one. It gets to a point where the ignorance crystallizes is more or less permanent. "....(except the Taliban and the likes) and many of them could change and accept the truth. " they'd say it is everyone else who needs to change because what they have is already perfect. And of course they already have the truth (in their own minds.)
