Europe - 'the sick man of the world'

Hi, Kevin !

Thanks for your appreciation.

Vienna is one the most splendid chapters in our history. What we did was quite decisive. Yet it was not Poland but Russia that did even more and deserves more glory in this respect. The Russian troops crushed the Turks in every jihad the Turks declared on them. The Russian army stood twice in the vicinity of Constantinople ready to expunge the monstrous crime of 1453. But no both occasions Islam was saved by the good Western Christians.

Tsar Nicolaus I was going to debark his troops directly at Constantinople, occupy it in a head-on assault and restore the Hagia Sophia to Christianity. This scared the British and the French and provoked the Crimean War where "the sick man of Europe" got all possible help including even the Poles who in their hatred of Christian Russia allied themselves with the worst oppressors of their Christian Slavonic brothers on the Balkans. Thus the descendants of John III Sobieski and his knights betrayed their forefathers' ideals. It's a sad truth and seems to have a more general validity.

The unique historical occasion to end Islam's jihads for good was lost. Now it is Europe that is 'the sick man of the world' with Moslems besieging it from outside and from within while the perfidious Turk is imposing his will on it through threats and promises. Eastern Europe is now to a large degree part of this sickening Eurabian nighmare that is haunting the continent and I wonder how we might escape it unscathed ?
