Europe's Slide to Islamization

Reader comment on item: Does Turkey Still Belong in NATO?
in response to reader comment: Turkey, a trojan horse into the NATO camp as destabilizer of the western allience.

I agree with you relative to Obama's support of Turkey in the EU. They appear to be moving more and more to being an Islamic country (as opposed to secular claims) as is evidenced by the resistance to open the Christian Halki Seminary, a small gesture of opening a tiny window in the stoic wall of Islamic dominence. I understand that they would have allowed it to open under their religious ministry but it would have been under the Islamic thumb in what it could teach.

As you indicate, Mr. Obama's apparently naieve approach to reaching out to dictators and radicals like Chavez, Castro, and Ahmadinejab is dangerous in this American's perception, and the Western principle of free speech and freedom of religion (or no religion) should be non negotiable with the opponents of these Western bedrock principles (actually these principles are for the benefit of all humanity).

If Turkey truly condoned freedom of religion and freedom of speech, I presume it would be welcome in the EU, but with Islam, I don't see that happening. If allowed in the EU as it is, it would truly be the Trojan Horse for the Islamization of Europe, if that horse is not already within your gates.
