Reader comment on item: Does Turkey Still Belong in NATO?
in response to reader comment: America's mad alliance and NATO as a weapon of jihad

Submitted by Kevin Synnott (United States), Apr 6, 2009 at 17:35

September 11, 1683, John Sobeiski II, King of Poland, led an army that attacked the Turkish lines besieging Vienna for the second time. The Turkish armies began a series of losses that put them within their present boundaries.

Your knowledge of history and English are excellent.

Osama bin Laden announced to the world that he was beginning a new effort to make Islam dominant in the world. He made this announcement by attacking the US on September 11, 2001. One fact that has not been made clear to the world is that the Eastern European nations were the last countries to fight Islamic Imperialism in driving back the Turks. While Eastern Europe was fighting back against the Turkish invasions, Roman Catholic France was conspiring with the Turks to destroy the Roman Catholic Austrian Hapsburgs. France sat out of NATO for 40 years because of the US army standing between them and the Soviet Union. Until recently, France was again conspiring with the enemy (Islamic terrorists) to bring about the downfall of Western civilization.
