Turkey should be removed removed from NATO

Reader comment on item: Does Turkey Still Belong in NATO?
in response to reader comment: Turkey does not belong

Submitted by Darrell Cramer (United States), Oct 7, 2014 at 11:15

Turkey has shown time and time again they have no intention of contributing to the call for NATO assistance against the Islamic extremist that are slaughtering their Kurdish population. What makes Turkey leaders them any better than ISIS? They have taken advantage of the US by charging horendous amounts of money to use the bases that the US built in Turkey. Why does NATO need another ball and chain who use it's military assets when the cry help? In the end treating human life as precious will ultimately win and the leaders of Turkey who are responsible for looking the other way when Islamic extremist slaughter human life will pay with their eternal lives.

The civilized world should cast such NATO members out and shame them in the process. NATO does not need Turkey's geographical location anymore. Wars are fought differently.
