" The first massacre in Cyprus between the Turks and the Greeks took place at Geunyeli, 12 miles from Nicosia, on the 12th of July 1958."

Do you know that on 21st of June 1955 Greeks put dynamites in the police station right in the middle of where Turkish people live and 14 Turks got wounded?

On 19th of March 1956 the Greeks attacked their Turkish neighbours in Vasilya. 16 Turks and 3 Greeks got wounded

Before the year 1956 ended they burned 30 Turkish villages. Only in November 1956 416 similar incidents happened

On 4th of December 1956 3 Turkish villagers were killed in Melendra. Not just killed but also their bodies were torn apart by cutters.

So between 1st of April 1955-December 1956 216 people died because of those atacks by Greeks and 524 people got wounded. Until July 1958 100 more people were killed.

Mmmm I wonder why Turkish people attacked back on July 1958? What do you think?
