Reader comment on item: Turkey in Cyprus vs. Israel in Gaza

Surely a person who would condemn the West for inflicting hardship on native populations would not spare their scorn when it comes to considering Turkey. The Turks entered Anatolia and Thrace and displaced the indigenous populations by violence and genocide. The important distinction is that in Turkey it continues to this day, whereas in my country, the indigenous peoples and immigrant groups are encouraged to flourish.
