Can you explain why Turks and Turkey can claim the benefits of the Ottoman Turkish crimes but not the liabilities ?

If Turks believe Ottoman Cyprus belongs to Turkey then so does the profound shame of the Genocide of Anatolian Christians. Don't ever say again the Republic of Turkey had nothing to do with the Genocide.
